Kemptville

Kemptville is an urban and rural community which enjoys the benefits of quality lifestyles, natural and heritage amenities, essential services and positive growth. A short drive south of Ottawa, it is located in the Municipality of North Grenville, easily accessed by the Veterans Memorial Highway (Highway 416), as well as Leeds and Grenville Road 43 (formerly Highway 43).

With 1/3 of the population of North Grenville situated in, Kemptville is the largest community in North Grenville. Kemptville has 3 elementary schools which include:  Kemptville Public School, Holy Cross Catholic School, and South Branch Elementary School, 2 high schools – North Grenville District High School and St. Michael Catholic High School, as well as two local parks.

The Kemptville Campus of the University of Guelph is also located in town, offering several programs designed to service the needs of the rural community.

The Rideau River Provincial Park is situated  north of Kemptivlle, while the majority of the residential area is located in the south and east parts of town but very quickly moving west.  Surrounding the Kemptville area you will find a mixture of Forested and Farmland.  Kemptville Creek runs through the town, beginning southwest of the town and emptying four kilometres northeast into the Rideau.

Kemptville provides many amenities to its residents, such as the Kemptville District Hospital, the Kemptville Fire Department, a branch of the North Grenville Public Library, and the Kemptville Mall, and is also home to a variety of churches. Recreational facilities include the North Grenville Municipal Centre, which has two ice surfaces; community halls, a performance theatre, a tourism office, concession space, and new Municipal offices.

There are several Recreation and Cultural Programs offered  including Yoga, Fitness; Babysitting Courses; Ballroom Dancing; Public Skating; Movies, specialty camps.  Kemptville is a great location with so much to offer it's residents, and visiting neighbours.
